Private-Label LED Mirrors: Packaging and Documentation to Prepare

A buyer-side checklist for organizing artwork, model identity, instructions and packaging proofs before a private-label order.

Treat Private Label as a Small System

Private labeling is more than placing a logo on a carton. The brand name, buyer model code, product identity, instruction leaflet, carton label and packing list need to describe the same item. When these pieces are created by different departments, small mismatches can reach production even though each file looks correct on its own.

Create one control sheet for every model. It should map the supplier model, buyer model, size, finish and approved artwork files. Use exact revision names and dates instead of labels such as “final-new.”

Send Production Artwork, Not Screenshots

Provide the original artwork format requested by the packaging supplier, along with color references and minimum clear-space rules if the brand has them. A screenshot is useful for discussion but should not become the production master. For barcodes or scannable codes, the buyer should supply the approved data and verify a printed proof with the intended system.

Decide where branding is genuinely needed. A restrained carton mark, product label and instruction header may be more consistent than adding the logo to every component. Confirm placement on a dimensioned proof.

Write Instructions for the Actual Model

Generic instructions create risk when bracket positions, orientation or controls differ. The leaflet should match the approved mirror and show the relevant mounting sequence, connections, controls, care information and buyer contact details. Destination-language and regulatory requirements are the buyer's responsibility to define clearly at the start.

Ask a person unfamiliar with the project to review the proof. If that reviewer cannot identify the model, find the correct mounting view or understand which information applies, the leaflet needs revision before printing.

Approve Physical Position and Legibility

A PDF proof cannot show every production issue. Review a printed label and carton mock-up at actual size. Check contrast, type size, trimming, folds and whether tape or pallet wrap will cover important information. Confirm that the product label is placed where service staff can access it without leaving it visible in normal use.

Keep mandatory handling and product information separate from marketing copy. The carton must remain useful to warehouse and installation teams after the sales message has done its job.

Freeze the Pack Before Production

The final approval bundle should contain product drawing, model map, artwork masters, printed proofs, instruction revision, accessory list and carton layout. One person should be responsible for releasing that bundle. If a buyer code changes, check every connected file rather than editing the carton label alone.

Start with a focused model range from the LED bathroom mirror catalog. When contacting the supplier, include expected quantities, target markets and a list of private-label items. This makes it possible to discuss feasibility and timing before artwork work begins.
